Artime Concept Watch

Amazing. With all the innovation and ideas that have risen and made themselves known around the world, you’d think that we’ve thought of everything already.

Check this out … it’s a watch that’s based on the user. I guess which is to say, you see the time when you want to see it — maybe?

Everything’s in French on the official site [and the Vimeo page … Google translate didn’t help much] so that’s the best I can come up with [I definitely failed French class in the seventh grade].

Electronic Tattoos via Philips Design

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

Tattoos and physical mutilation are amongst the oldest forms of personal expression and identity. Subcultures have used tattoos as a form of self representation; a visual language communicating personality and status. Philips Design examined the growing trend of extreme body adornment like tattoos, piercing, implants and scarring.

The Electronics Tattoo film expresses the visual power of sensitive technology applied to the human body. The film subtly leads the viewer through the simultaneous emotional and aesthetic transformations between two lovers.

The music sounds so creepy and makes me think that the tattoo is an alien trying to escape from under the screen. *shudders* Ewwwww.

Augmented Reality from Esquire

Are we going to start seeing more paper publications embracing technology in this way? If so, these are very exciting times.

You have to download separate software and must have a webcam in order for this to work though.
