Unfortunately, only a small run is available so if you have $250 USD to spare, I’d pick this up fast.

I now understand why women go crazy over handbags — well, I can see their reasoning anyway. I’ll probably end up with a couple of messenger bags by the end of next year.

Paul Webb DSGN Journal - Laptop Case Workstation 01

This is an innovative concept dubbed “Openaire” by NICK+BEAU, which is a design collective of brothers Nick and Beau Trincia.

Paul Webb DSGN Journal - Laptop Case Workstation 02

From the site, Openaire is a hybrid of a laptop carrying case, work surface, and chair. The system consists of a semi-rigid protective sleeve designed as an ergonomic laptop work surface and a protective shell that also functions as a comfortable seat.

Together, they offer the portability and comfort to support work anywhere.

Here’s a mockup of this product in action. I could actually got to the park in the Boston Commons and not have to worry about having a level surface to put a laptop on.
