Paul Webb DSGN Journal - Linos LP Player Concept 01

This innovative concept by Charlie Pyott *needs* to be made. An ultra-portable record player like this would be a hit at parties for sure. Check out more action shots after this.

Retro-Inspired Philco PC

Monday, December 14th, 2009

The design of the “Philco PC” was inspired by the 1954 design classic Philco Predicta, as well as an eclectic mixture of modern minimalism, the steampunk movement, and antiques. As lead designer Dave Schultze explains, “The result is a design aesthetic that blends multiple elements of the familiar, but with some surprisingly fresh styling that just so happens to house a state-of-the-art Windows 7 PC.”

I absolutely love this design, if only for the typewriter-inspired keyboard. I am reminded of Jimmy Neutron’s secret lab with this computer setup [and old diners, the ones when poodle skirts were in vogue]. How about some product shots?
