Artime Concept Watch

Monday, January 18th, 2010

Amazing. With all the innovation and ideas that have risen and made themselves known around the world, you’d think that we’ve thought of everything already.

Check this out … it’s a watch that’s based on the user. I guess which is to say, you see the time when you want to see it — maybe?

Everything’s in French on the official site [and the Vimeo page … Google translate didn’t help much] so that’s the best I can come up with [I definitely failed French class in the seventh grade].

Skiff Reader

Paul Webb DSGN Journal - Skiff Reader 01

There’s a new e-reader on the playground and it means to play.

A full touchscreen enables users to intuitively navigate and engage with the newspapers, magazines, books and other digital content they purchase through the Skiff Store, as well as personal and work documents.

The device weighs just over one pound and lasts over a week of average use between charges.

I am definitely excited about this. Other e-readers currently available didn’t appeal to me in the least [aside from the one from Barnes & Nobles] and the Skiff has so much more to offer than its competition.

You can get a lot more info at the official site [and even more later on this week, after it gets previewed at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show].

Paul Webb DSGN Journal - Castle Key Bottle Opener 01

Uncapping a cold soda or a frosty brew has never been so elegant. This would go great with a mansion, or just a very vintage looking home and at $12 USD, you can afford to grab a couple.
