Jonah Takagi designed this lamp for the upocoming imm cologne exhibit [where they showcase furniture/home interiors … from the future! Oh wait, that’s *of* the future].
There’s a bit of steel, some aluminum, finished off with some enamel in the construction.
The cord comes out of one of the legs in the base. For some reason that’s really awesome to me.

This looks and sounds like something out of Avatar [the Star Wars of my generation, I’ve decided].
Florence Jaffrain built this with soft foam and photoluminescent sensory fabric that just so happens to breathe [or at least it moves like it does].
There are also capsules that release a frangrance into the air.
Unfortunately, this is only a prototype but maybe we’ll see some mass production after its showing in Paris.
